Fujikura Kasei has brought new ground in the field of coatings for housing and building industry on numerous occasions. For example, we were the first company to use acrylic polymer based coating on the siding of high-rise buildings. (Kasumigaseki Building, 1968.) We were always the first to offer specialty wall-finishing materials such as elastomeric coatings, breathable coatings and multi-color coatings that are now popular finishings in the architectural coatings industry. We could only offer these innovative designs through the total product assurance strategy based on the adherence to what the industry needs in the next generation. It was only possible by our deep appreciation of total quality control management focussed on R&D, manufacturing, distribution and application of our products. In line with this, not only working in the new construction but put even greater effort in renovation of existing housing and building. The shift to waterborne inorganic coatings and the development of stump paint treatment agent are becoming a benchmark to the industry. Our future oriented design concept is widely accepted by public agencies for its applications for parks, sidewalks, tunnels, nuclear power plant facilities, etc.
