At Fujikura Kasei, where we handle these two distinct product groups, we apply our two core technologies—coating formulation technology and resin synthesis technology—to create a wide range of innovative products.
And sharing these two technologies between business divisions has led to countless synergistic effects.

Coatings for Plastics
We make use of a wide variety of coating formulation technologies in order to offer coatings that address diverse societal issues, such as environmentally considerate water-borne solutions that not only deliver performance as coatings, but are also easy to apply.
For coatings with special functions such as anti-fog coatings, we develop the resin that forms the active component in-house.

Architectural Coatings
To protect residential exterior walls, which are exposed to environmental factors such as rain, wind, and UV rays, we make use of technology that imparts weather resistance.
Moreover, we use multi-pattern technology to add aesthetic design elements to wall surfaces.
Functional enhancements such as resistance to heat and fire are also imparted with coating structure control and intumescent technologies.

Electronics Materials
Special technologies are employed to impart conductivity, and to impart additional properties such as flexibility and elasticity, multiple proprietary technologies are integrated in a combined manner.
These are further combined with technologies to accommodate increasingly diverse modes of coating curing, such as UV curing, low-temperature curing, and rapid curing.

Polymers & Resins
We go beyond simple resin synthesis (adjusting molecular weight or monomer composition, introducing functional groups, etc.) with technology to customize resins according to product type, enabling us to offer products in water-borne, solvent-borne, and solid forms.
We also possess technologies that enable particle size adjustment and other customizations in granular products.
